The Nation’s Weather

The Nation’s Weather for Saturday, September 15, 2018

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

Damaging winds, flooding rain and devastating storm surge

from Florence will continue to pummel the Carolina coasts

tomorrow. Flooding rainfall will also persist at inland

locations throughout North and South Carolina while gusty

showers pester areas in Maryland and Delaware. A warm and

humid day is in store for the rest of the eastern and

Central states. Sunny and largely rain-free weather is

expected throughout the rest of the nation, with a glaring

exception in Texas. Heavy tropical rainfall will perpetuate

existing flooding there, particularly in southern and

eastern portions of the state. A few storms could also fire

over northern North Dakota and Minnesota. While dangerously

hot and dry weather persists in the Southwest, cooler,

damper conditions will settle into the Northwest.
