NATIONAL SUMMARY

A storm tracking through the Ohio Valley and into the

mid-Atlantic today will spread tropical moisture northward

leading to heavy rain and thunderstorms. This heavy rain can

cause flooding from Ohio through Pennsylvania, especially in

areas that have seen heavy rain over the past several weeks.

Thunderstorms will stretch southward from the Ohio Valley to

the Gulf Coast. Dry weather will stretch across the Great

Lakes and into the Mississippi Valley and the central

Plains. A cold front sweeping south into the northern Plains

will spark a few showers. Much of Southwest will remain dry

and very warm to hot across the interior. The western

portion of Washington will see a few showers during the day

as a cold front races southward.
