COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — No. 4 Ohio State blew out hapless Rutgers 52-3 on a gray, rainy afternoon in Columbus. Dwayne Haskins threw for 233 yards and four touchdowns before giving way to backup Tate Martell early in the third quarter. Rutgers’ starting quarterback Arthur Sitkowski was injured and did not play in the second half. The Buckeyes expect a bigger challenge next week when they face No. 16 TCU in Dallas.
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Stevie Scott ran for 204 yards and one touchdown on a soggy Saturday as he led Indiana past Virginia 20-16. Scott was four yards short of breaking Anthony Thompson’s single-game school record for a true freshman. Indiana (2-0) has won five straight regular season games against non-conference foes. The Cavaliers (1-1) had a chance to win after a pass interference call Virginia an extra play after time expired. But Bryce Perkins’ pass from the 27-yard line fluttered through the end zone.
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — Maryland overcame first-half penalties to cruise to a 45-14 rout of Bowling Green. Tayon Fleet-Davis rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns and Ty Johnson had 124 yards and a touchdown as Maryland broke out in the second half. With Bowling Green leading 14-10 at halftime, Maryland (2-0) ripped off 35 unanswered points to secure the easy win.
IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Mekhi Sargent scored on a 2-yard TD run with 4:47 left and Iowa beat Iowa State 13-3 for the fourth year in a row. Miguel Recinos added a pair of field goals for the Hawkeyes (2-0), whose winning streak over the Cyclones (0-1) is their longest since they took 15 straight from 1983-97.

Quarterback Tyler Wiegers was 20 of 28 for 312 yards and a touchdown pass that came in the second quarter from 75 yards to Mathew Sexton to put the Eagles ahead 7-3.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Jonathan Taylor ran for a career-high 253 yards and three touchdowns, and No. 5 Wisconsin asserted its dominance after allowing a score on the game-opening drive to beat New Mexico 45-14. A.J.
