Katie Phernetton

Katie Phernetton is one of the Daybreak morning anchors.
She joined News 18 in August of 2018 after working as a reporter for five years in the Green Bay market. Born and raised in Green Bay, she prides herself in being a cheesehead through and through.
It’s no surprise Katie ended up working in TV, when she was a kid she would take her dad’s camcorder, set it up in the backyard and record her doing “interviews” with her favorite boy bands.
Katie graduated from UW-Green Bay in 2014 with a degree in communication. There she worked in the athletic department working in sports information and communication and hosted a sports talk show for the campus TV station.
Traveling, exploring and trying new things is what she is passionate about. She loves going someplace new whether it’s 3 miles away or 3,000 to see what the locals love and care about. She’s very eager to explore the Eau Claire area (so send her places you think she needs to check out)!
She also loves theater, classic movies, watching football and spending time with her niece and nephew.
