It’s almost time for the Leinenkugel’s Pure Water Days Races. This year there will be five different races for the entire family or just for the individual runner. And new this year, all participants will receive a finishers medal!

The races are held each year during the Pure Water Days weekend festival in Chippewa Falls. The races provide a healthy activity for the entire family. The proceeds go towards the YMCA’s Sponsored Membership program. Each participant receives a race t-shirt as well as prizes and medals for the top finishers in each race category. Approximately 750 – 800 individuals participate in the PWD Races each year.

This year the races will start and finish at the Chippewa Valley Family YMCA. Races will be held on Saturday, August 10 with the following times:
1 Mile – 7:30 AM
2 Mile – 8:00 AM
4 Mile – 8:00 AM
Half Marathon – 8:00 AM
Kids 200 – 9:00 AM

The races are open to individuals of any age. There is even youth as young as 4 running in the 200-meter race. If you would like to sign up visit their website or walk into a YMCA. For more information, be sure to watch the video above!
