Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

The Valley Gospel Choir is bringing some soul into your summer.

The Valley Gospel Choir originated in the spring of 1992 and performed at Country Jam USA as part of the Sunday morning events. The choir was made up of local community members who loved to sing gospel music. Many current choir members are charter members having sung with the choir since the beginning.

Valley Gospel Choir draws inspiration and support from individuals, businesses, and local organizations. In turn, the choir holds a benefit concert for a local organization in the winter. Valley Gospel Choir is proud to have a loyal following of concert attendees who look forward to the yearly summer concerts!

Choir director, Merlyn Aude, is retired and working on learning the joys of his new employment status. He earned a Bachelor of Music Education with a vocal emphasis from UW-Eau Claire. He also taught music for 36 years at Plum City High School. Merlyn directed the Concert Choir, Vocal Jazz Choir, Concert Band, Pep Band, Marching Band, and Jazz Band. He was also adviser at one time or another to several school organizations including Student Council and Yearbook. Merlyn is still active as a conductor for the Valley Gospel Choir based in Eau Claire.

The concerts are July 16 and 17, starting at 7:30 PM. They will be held at Grace Lutheran Church. Tickets are $15 at the door.
