Eau Claire (JA)- Junior Achievement of Wisconsin- Northwest Wisconsin is having their annual Hero’s Gala coming up!

Bob Ayres, the President of River City Transport LLC and past Junior Achievement Board Chair is slated to receive the 2019 JA Hero award at the upcoming JA Hero’s Gala. Bob’s long history with his work as an entrepreneur and leadership in his local philanthropic efforts help keep Junior Achievement prospering throughout Northwest Wisconsin.

Nine additional Junior Achievement heroes including businesses, teachers and volunteers will be recognized.

The event will take place at the Florian Gardens in Eau Claire on May 14 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. The evening is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate area heroes who champion the need to help area youth in the areas of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.

Weather Outlook: More rain tonight comes with gusty winds

Clouds have moved in with rain this evening, which will become more widespread with time tonight. Showers could contain a few rumbles of thunder, too, but the main concern is actually the wind. A Wind Advisory is in effect for St. Croix and Pierce counties for the first half of the night, where gusts over 45 mph are possible.
