Illinois (CNN)- A thief in Illinois recently stole a prosthetic leg belonging to a 3-year-old boy but the outrageous, sad story takes a positive turn when hospital employees jumped in to help the child.

After his $10,000 leg and his mother’s wallet was stolen from their car. His mother feared it would take months to get a new one but as news of the theft spread around the world, so did the helping hands. Shriners Hospital workers expedited the replacement process, casting a new leg. Shriners did all that work free of charge.
