Eau Claire (REAL LIFE ACADEMY)- High school students in the area will get a look into their future with the Real Life Academy next week.

This is to prepare the students who have researched and selected their careers and participated in classroom lessons on financial management so that they are ready to put their financial skills to the test. Each students enters the Real Life Academy with the profession they aspire to be at ten years after graduation along with a family status and a paycheck with on month’s salary. Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce member business volunteers and school faculty and administrators are ready to assist them in purchasing life’s necessities — housing, transportation, groceries and more as they visit 29 stations and make purchasing decisions.

This will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the The Halls at The Lismore.

Real Life Academy is a partnership program with the Eau Claire Chamber Educational Foundation, Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce and the Eau Claire Area School District. Several Chamber member businesses support the academy by sponsoring stations and providing employees to assist the students in their decision making.
