London (CNN) — The city of London is commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One with an amazing and powerful visual spectacle.
To recognize 100 years since the end of World War One — The Tower of London is hosting a stunning 8-night event. It’s called “Beyond the Deepening Shadow: The Tower Remembers. The nightly event fills the tower’s moat with thousands of brightly lit torches to commemorate those who died during the great war which lasted five years.
The events final night marks the anniversary of the war’s end which was declared “at the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month.”
