Chippewa Valley (CAREGIVING ALLIANCE)- The Chippewa Valley Caregiving Alliance is gearing up to host the 16th Annual Caregiving Resource fair, dinner, and town hall meeting.
Attendees of this year’s event, “A Caregiver’s Night Out” will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions on “Stress Management and Mindfulness” by Amy Seegerstrom with the Healing Place and “Estate Planning and Legal Matters” by Mary Beth Gardner, Attorney at Law. A delicious meal will be provided followed by a show featuring the “Looney Lutherans!”
The Looney Lutherans are the authors of the (fictional) cookbook and lifestyle guide” entitled Use Your Food: A Guide to Healthy Living Inside and Out, From Our Kitchen to Yours, Eat Like a Lutheran! Using music, comedy, and some help from the audience, these gals love to share their tips for living a long and healthy life, the Lutheran way. All original material is comedic, family friendly, and interactive.
“The goal of this year’s Town Hall Meeting is to give our community caregivers a night off and a night of fun,” explained Katie Fennel, Publicity Chair of the Chippewa Valley Family Caregiving Alliance. “Whether you pick up grandma’s groceries or help your spouse brush their teeth, you are a caregiver and we want to thank you for your time and efforts.”
