Eau Claire (YOUTH AMBASSADORS)- Being a super hero can mean a lot of things, but mainly they work to create a better community. That’s what the Youth Ambassadors are in Eau Claire, super heroes.

They work together on community service projects to help make life better. They learn by touring local renewable energy facilities and local businesses. They gather at ECEC headquarters to study careers and hot to fill out resumes and interview for jobs.

Area high school students, grades 9-12 are invited to explore. They’ll explore electrifying energy issues, plus stimulating co-op and youth leadership topics at monthly meetings September through May. Some of the projects they are involved in are: making fleece scarves and blankets, preparing and serving meals at The Community Table, Breakfast in The Valley, bell ringing for the salvation army, local roadside clean up, red cross blood drives, St. Francis Food Pantry, fund-raising events, Hope Gospel Mission store and Earth Day events.

High school students can sign up at www.ecec.com.
