Eau Claire (JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT)- Junior achievement is inviting you to support them, while discovering your inner artist, all with a fundraising event hosted by Cheers Pablo.

The event takes place Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Eau Claire location on 2839 Mall Drive. Co-owner Brandon Rehmus said his support for Junior Achievement comes from his experience as a classroom volunteer and as a former Board Member. “I have seen how Junior Achievement empowers our youth today beyond their everyday class studies. In particular, the classes on careers, personal finance and entrepreneurship are great building blocks for youth to own their economic success going forward. “I feel it is important for businesses of all sizes to participate in student learning to help foster the next generation of leaders.”

Painting experience is not necessary! All abilities and ages are encouraged to register for this family-friendly event. The cost to attend is $40 per person. Registration includes painting supplies, professional in-class instruction, appetizers and raffle opportunities. At the end of the event, each participant takes with them a quality piece of their own artistic talent.

Cheers Pablo continues to be a great partner for Junior Achievement. Surpassing $10,000 in donations in the past three years supporting Junior Achievement’s mission of empowering area youth the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices.

The fog and clouds lifted late Friday morning, and that meant the sun finally shined brightly for much of the day. While it doesn’t have a lot of power this time of year given we’re only a week away from the winter solstice, it still helped warm us into the mid 30s.
