California (CNN)-¬†Visitors can now plunge, literally, into the rich history of California’s Lake Tahoe.

This is the Emerald Bay Maritime Heritage Trail. Located in Emerald Bay State Park, it’s the first of its kind in California. It features four dives sites, three of which have never been revealed until now. The trail leads snorkelers and scuba divers through two barges and 12 sunken boats. Underwater informational markers explain the history of each vessel. It’s the largest collection of sunken small watercraft known to exist in the United States.
