Eau Claire (WQOW) – The verdicts are in for an Eau Claire man accused of strangling his girlfriend and throwing her 7-year-old son into a wall.

A jury found Torrie Smith guilty of child abuse, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. He was found not guilty of intimidating a victim.

Jurors were unable to agree on a verdict on the strangulation and suffocation charge, so the judge declared a mistrial on that charge.

A sentencing date on the other counts will now be set.
