Eau Claire man charged with trying to hit a crying child

Eau Claire (WQOW) – Chaizong Lor was charged Thursday with aggravated battery and attempted child abuse.

Police said a mother was comforting a crying child when Lor got upset the baby was crying and tried to hit the child.

The mother was able to protect the child but was repeatedly hit in the head and ear. She said she now has ringing in her ear, which doctors said may be permanent.

Lor returns to court in November.
