Fairchild man sentenced to jail for almost hitting someone with his car

(WQOW) – A Fairchild man will spend a month in jail for nearly hitting someone with his car.

Scott Lovelien was also ordered last week by Judge Emily Long to stay absolutely sober during three years of probation, and he lost his drivers license for nine months.

Lovelien was charged last October with driving through the Harstad County Park at high speed, nearly hitting a man.

Deputies said he later crashed. It turned out he had consumed nearly an entire bottle of brandy before the incidents.
