Thousands attend 16th annual Leinenkugel’s family reunion

Chippewa Falls (WQOW) — The 16th annual Leinenkugel’s family reunion was held on Saturday at the Leine Lodge and Brewery.

Nearly seven thousand people celebrated the family-run business, while enjoying free food, live music and of course – lots of beer.

Some attendees said the reunion is a tradition for many of them and their families as a way of continuously supporting the brewery.

John Leinenkugel, a 5th generation family member, said the celebration is a way for his family to show their gratitude for the community.

“This is our thank you to them for all of their support,” Leinenkugel said. “They’ve supported our brewery for over six generations and 152 years. It’s just great to see people come back each and every year.”

During the reunion, the brewery displayed its newly renovated bar area in the Leine Lodge while also serving some new beers on tap.
