Eau Claire (WQOW) — Anyone passing through Phoenix Park on Saturday morning was invited to join the second annual Great Big Hullabaloo, put on by Chippewa Valley Family and Prevea Health.

Those passing by could enjoy live music by local performer Beth Jean from Menomonie or Twin Cities natives, the Bazillions.

“It’s very low key and come and go as you like,” Michelle Rowekamp, organizer from Chippewa Valley Family, said. “I think it’s nice to have those events that are a little less structured than some others.”

Children also had the opportunity to make some fun crafts such as beaded bracelets or music shakers.

“It’s connecting the community and giving families something fun to do that’s free, I think we need some free events for families to attend,” Rowekamp said.

If you missed out on the event, there’s no reason to worry; two more concerts will be held in July and August.
