Eau Claire (WQOW) – Local runners laced up their shoes and hit the pavement to encourage others to get active Wednesday.
Runners from all walks of life pledged their run to encourage others to get up and be active for Global Running Day. If you need some motivation, look no further than John Bachman. He’s a 67-year-old distance runner who averages 25-40 miles each week.
Bachman said it doesn’t matter if you’re fast or slow, or how far you run, it’s important to get out and enjoy the journey. “If I don’t run for a few days I’m not happy, I just get really grouchy. Find the exercise you like and just do it. If you get tired of it, find something else,” Bachman told News 18.
Bachman said there are groups of all ages and skill levels around the Chippewa Valley you can join, just get up and get active.
