Eau Claire (WQOW) — A sex offender who walked away from Eau Claire Huber in May was sentenced on Friday.
Dwayne Brown pleaded guilty to failing to update his sex offender registry in exchange for an count of escape being dropped.
Brown was convicted of criminal sexual misconduct in Minnesota in 2006 and a slew of other crimes in Eau Claire starting in 2014.
Friday, Judge Jon Theisen sentenced Brown to two years of probation, with jail time possible if he does not meet the terms of his plea agreement.
