Clear Lake woman in critical condition after being shot in hunting incident

Polk County (WQOW) – A Clear Lake woman is in critical condition in a Minnesota hospital after being shot over the weekend.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a rural Clear Lake woman, 33, was hunting on her parent’s property in the township of Clear Lake. As she was leaving her deer stand around 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, she walked into a field and was shot with a gun by a male, 17, from rural Star Prairie. He was hunting on adjacent property.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Amery Medical Center and then to Regions Hospital in Minnesota. She is in critical, but stable condition.
