Eau Claire (WQOW) — The Eau Claire Plan Commission unanimously approved a site plan to turn and old warehouse into a Hmong Community Center at its meeting on Monday.

It would be located at 511 North Clairemont Ave., just south of the Rod and Gun Park.

The Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association may now purchase the 6,000 square foot warehouse. They plan to do some interior renovations, including adding a new kitchen.

The community center would be used as a meeting area for Hmong cultural and traditional events.
