Former adult living facility to become apartment complex in Eau Claire

Eau Claire (WQOW) – At its meeting Monday, the Eau Claire Plan Commission voted to turn the former home of an adult living facility and the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic into a 47-unit apartment complex.

The plan includes converting the Syverson Rehabilitation and Health building into the new living space.

Pablo Properties bought the space, and is teaming up with River Valley Architects and Commonweal Development to design the new facility.

The Chippewa Valley Free Clinic will need to find a new spot, but officials with Pablo Properties said they will have plenty of help along the way.

“Knowing that they were going to be relocated as a part of the sale of this property whether it was us or any buyer, motivated us to help them find their next home,” Julia Johnson, a partner at Pablo Properties, told News 18.

Johnson says they already have a few places in mind that could be their forever home, and they’ve offered to help in the process.

The remodel could start as early as November.
