Campbell Police Reserve assist flood relief efforts with “Fill the Cruiser”

Campbell (WXOW) – The Campbell Police reserve are doing their part in assisting with flood relief efforts in Vernon County. Saturday morning they hosted what they call the “Fill the Cruiser” drive.

From 8:00 a.m. to noon officers stood outside Campbell Town Hall and collected donations from community members. Donations included food, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items and cash. In addition to providing relief, the Fill the Cruiser drive further demonstrates how close knit the community is.

“I think that we know that people here in this part of the state are really well connected to one another,” Police Reserve Officer Hunter Lisko said.

“La Crosse and Vernon County areas are neighborly places and so I think people care a lot and they want to help their neighbors out as much as they can.”

Campbell Town Hall is also accepting donations during the week. If you stop by during office hours with donations, Police Reserve Officers will make sure they are delivered to Vernon County.
