UW Stout’s Pathways Forward campaign raises record donations

Eau Claire (WQOW) – UW Stout is in the middle of a years-long fundraising campaign, and officials announced they’re millions of dollars ahead of schedule Friday.

The goal was to raise $35 million between August 2014 and June 2020, but they’ve already raised $30.6 million. Officials even announced the largest single donation in school history, $4 million from Dallas and Edith Pankowski of Plover.

The Pathways Forward Campaign is meant to raise this money for three priorities: keeping Stout affordable through things like scholarships, the second is upgrading learning equipment, and the third is innovation upgrading programs with online content or improving cyber-security.

“We’re very happy with our progress but its an indication of really how much our employers and our benefactors believe in a UW Stout graduate and that’s just fantastic. So I have to express my gratitude for their investment in UW Stout,” said Bob Meyer, Chancellor, University of Wisconsin-Stout.

The chancellor said since the campaign is going so well, they’re pushing the goal to $40 million by June 2020.
