UPDATE: Hwy 53 reopens after crash near Eau Claire

UPDATE: According to Altoona Police Chief Jesse James, they are now reopening Highway 53.

The highway was closed because of a crash.


Eau Claire (WQOW) – Highway 53 northbound between River Prairie and Clairemont Ave. is closed because of a crash.

According to the DOT, northbound traffic coming from the south side of Eau Claire should exit at Highway 93 and take Hastings Way to Highway 312 and then back to 53.

The closure is expected to last 2 hours.
