Farmer deals with clean up after rain and flooding

La Crosse (WXOW)- All of this rain has left some locals with days, possibly even weeks, worth of clean up. Many are asking the question, "Where do we start"?

On the Roesler family farm near Coon Valley, Jim Roesler, who has been farming here all his life, says he can’t remember having rain storms like this in nearly six decades.

But, even with all this damage, and the potential for more rain on the way, morale around the Roesler farm seems to remain high.

"Well we got a lot of… our creek fences are all out, but I got one pasture here where I can put the beef cows when I run into a situation like this, but it wasn’t this often," said Roesler.

"So I guess you take the good with the bad when you’re a farmer," he added.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the severe weather.
