Maples Mobile Home Park to go up for sale

Eau Claire (WQOW)- Maintenance to an Eau Claire trailer park may be delayed due to the owner’s decision to sell the park.

Reed Woith of Western Springs, IL notified city staff that he plans to sell the Maples Mobile Home Park rather than comply with the city’s health and safety standards.

As News 18 has reported, the City of Eau Claire ordered five mobile homes in the park to be demolished, as Doug Hoffer, deputy city attorney, claimed they were beyond repair.

Hoffer told News 18 he and city staff are working hard to ensure no residents will need to move, and all homes maintain healthy living conditions.
