Several dozen emergency vehicles and several hundred motorcyclists pay their final respects to a Black River Falls firefighter who died in an accident earlier this month.
Alec Muth died August 19 in South Dakota following a motorcycle racing accident.
Services for Muth began at 11 a.m. at the Lunda Community Center Field House.
Following the nearly two hour service, a long line of vehicles made the drive from the field house to Riverside Cemetery where Muth was laid to rest.
The procession began with fire trucks and emergency vehicles from departments around the region. It was followed by the motorcyclists as processional wound its way through Black River Falls.
While firefighters from the Black River Falls fire department attended services for Muth, several local fire departments stepped in and volunteered their time to cover for the Black River Falls department to carry out daily services in the event of an emergency.
