Menomonie Police Department hosts “National Night Out 2.0”

Menomonie (WQOW) — The Menomonie Police Department had to reschedule their National Night Out, after being rained out on Tuesday.

The weather was less than cooperative for the department, so Menomonie decided to postpone to Thursday night. Families were able to participate in a wide variety of activities with area officers, all while having some fun.

"It’s also a great opportunity for law enforcement to to meet with the community in that same way," Menomonie Crime Prevention Specialist, Brenna Jasper said. "Really building those relationships and gaining trust, and it’s just a great event and a fun opportunity for everyone."

Jasper also told News 18 the community should know their local law enforcement is dedicated to protecting and serving every day, and they should not hesitate to reach out when needed.

National Night Out promotes positive relationships between citizens and law enforcement.
