Eau Claire man wanted for domestic assault, possibly killing pitbull

Eau Claire (WQOW) – Eau Claire police need your help finding a man wanted for domestic disorderly conduct, mistreatment of an animal resulting in death and felony bail jumping.

On Wednesday evening, officers were called to a report of a domestic situation on the south side of Eau Claire on Tony Court.

According to police, Tywaine W. Robertson, 42, threatened a woman with a baseball bat. He left on foot with a dog.

A few hours later, Robertson called the woman to meet up so she could pick up the dog. When she arrived, she saw the dog lying in the grass, lethargic and vomiting.

The woman put the dog in the car and took it to the vet, but the dog died en route.

Eau Claire police are investigating the case and what led to the dog’s death.

Police want Robertson to turn himself in, but if you know information about his whereabouts, you may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers.

If you have information, call 715-839-4972.
