According to the Eau Claire City-County Health Department, a harmful algae bloom was noted, and the water contains high levels of algae.

This advisory is for Lake Altoona Beach and Lake Eau Claire Beach.

This does not mean the beaches are closed, rather it is recommended you stay away.

You are advised not to swim in areas with visible algae scum, and not to touch or swallow the water.
