Eau Claire man arrested for setting up sex with a boy in Barron County

Barron County (WQOW) – A local man was charged Wednesday after police said he drove from Eau Claire to Rice Lake to have sex with an underage boy.

The boy was actually an undercover officer, posing as a 15-year-old boy.

The officer said Heath Gullikson exchanged nearly 800 text messages with the boy, some of them sexual, between May and last week. That’s when he was arrested after arranging to meet the boy in the restroom at a Rice Lake park.

Gullikson is charged in Barron County with attempted child sexual assault, and child enticement.
