Sexual assault charges filed against Menomonie man

Menomonie (WQOW) – A Menomonie man will be in court next Tuesday on charges of sexually assaulting a woman twice.

Timothy Carl, 38, is accused of assaulting the 21-year-old woman in July. She told police she smoked a bowl of marijuana with him, and he then pressured her to do some meth. She said Carl then sexually assaulted her, and she was unable to stop him due to her level of intoxication, and his size.

She said she blacked out, and when she came to, she told Carl she was leaving. At that point, she said he assaulted her again.

When police questioned Carl, he denied knowing her, even though the woman showed police numerous Facebook messages between the two.

Carl was charged Tuesday in Dunn County court with sexual assault of an intoxicated victim, and sexual assault using force.
