Chippewa Falls (WQOW) – The Northern Wisconsin State Fair kicked off in Chippewa Falls Wednesday.
The fair runs through Sunday, July 15. There are games and rides, horse shows, tractors and attractions change daily.
One thing happening at the fair that displays dedication and hard work from a young age are the live stock shows.
News 18 had the opportunity to speak with one kid who said he’s gunning for first place this year.
"It depends if it’s a buyer or just a random person, I would just love them to come look at my pig and see how the whole operation works and if they maybe want to do it themselves," said Brock Krumanauer.
Brock also said his pigs are a lot of work but he enjoys it, especially when he gets to show them off.
Fair goers will also see goats and cows among the many animals out at the fair. Plus, there’s live music each night on the many stages on the grounds. For a list of events at the fair, click here.
