Cadott (WQOW) — The 32nd Country Fest is Cadott is over, but some are expressing disappointment with this year’s event.
Tens of thousands of country music fans flocked to the fest grounds last weekend. Some has an amazing time, but others, many of whom rated the Country Fest Facebook page, seemed unsatisfied with this year’s organization. Several complained about how bigger acts were featured on both the main stage and another stage up the hill, siting that they paid for VIP but got general admission treatment. Others said this set up made it very difficult if you were handicapped.
Country Fest promoter and GM, Wade Asher, told News 18, the majority of feedback they heard, from fest fans, was positive, but they take any feedback very seriously. He also said the decision to structure Country Fest the way they did this year, was based on the fans.
"A small portion of our customers are VIP-ers, so a larger portion of our customers are not VIP-ers, they’re GA and so on and so forth. So, we want to be able to continue to give everybody a great experience, so that’s why we added that stage over and above," Asher said. "We never want to take anything away from any type of customers because we know at the end of the day, if they’re not going to be happy, they’re not going buy tickets."
Asher also said Rock Fest has been structured this way for the past few years, and they plan to continue for this year as well. He also said, if anyone, VIP or not, needs anything during either Country Fest or Rock Fest, all they have to do is ask because they’re more than willing to help.
