Toys R Us closing all stores by Friday

(WKOW) – All Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores will close by June 29, according to the company.

The company announced on Twitter that all of their stores will close on or before Friday, with some stores closing as early as Tuesday.

Most stores across the county are still open with liquidation sales. Some stores have markdowns from 60 to 80 percent and others are 70 to 90 percent off.

Meanwhile, this may not be the end of the Toys R Us brand name. Many bidders are interested in the brand name, including buyers who understand the potential for a reborn Toys R Us chain. No deal has been made yet.
