Detroit man charged with sexual assault after incident at Rice Lake’s Aquafest

Barron County (WQOW) – The operator of a booth at Rice Lake’s Aquafest celebration is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl.

Terrance Johnson from Detroit is charged in Barron County court. According to the criminal complaint, Johnson was operating a henna tattoo booth at the carnival.

A 17-year-old girl said on Thursday June 7, he offered to touch up the tattoo he had placed on her lower back for free, earlier that day.

She told police he kept pulling her shorts lower, until her buttocks were entirely exposed.

Johnson also allegedly inappropriately touched her and rubbed against her. The girl said the so-called ‘touch-up’ took about 1.5 hours, while getting the original tattoo only took about 20 minutes.

Johnson denied anything inappropriate happened. He will be in court next Tuesday.
