One killed in Rusk County house fire

Rusk County (WQOW) – One person is dead following a house fire in Rusk County. 

According to the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office, crews were called to a house fire Wednesday around 12:46 a.m.

The sheriff’s office and three fire departments responded to find the entire house on fire, and believed a person might be inside.

While investigating the fire, a body was found inside the burnt house at about 8 a.m.

More information will be released by police once they identify the body.
