Hudson (WQOW) – A western Wisconsin man accused of murdering his son is out of jail, after posting a $500,000 cash bond.
Kayle Fleischauer, from New Richmond, was released from the St. Croix County Jail on Thursday.
He’s charged with shooting his son Chase Fleischauer, 20, in the head last month.
Police said when they arrived, Kayle Fleischauer smelled of alcohol and was laughing and behaving erratically, including exposing himself to investigators.
While out on bond, Fleischauer will be on GPS monitoring, and must submit to random alcohol testing three times a week.

Hudson (WQOW) — A St. Croix County man accused of murdering his son, was bound over for trial on Tuesday.
Kayle Fleischauer is charged with first degree intentional homicide and possession a firearm as a felon.
At Tuesday’s preliminary hearing, two state investigators took the stand to tell the court what they found when the arrive to Fleischauer’s New Richmond home in the early morning hours of April 15. According to court records, the victim, 20 year old Chase Fleischauer, was shot in the head. Deputies said they found Chase’s father smelled of alcohol and was laughing and behaving erratically. At one point, they said he exposed himself to investigators.
Tuesday, the judge denied a request to modify Fleischauer’s $500,000 bond. He’ll return to court for an arraignment hearing on May 25.
St. Croix County (WQOW) – A rural New Richmond man was charged Tuesday with shooting his son to death.
Kayle Fleischauer, 42, was arrested after his 20-year-old son, Chase, was found shot in the head early Saturday morning in their home about a mile southeast of New Richmond. The death was originally called in just after 4:00 a.m. as a suicide. According to the criminal complaint, when deputies arrived, they found Chase’s father smelled of alcohol and was laughing and behaving erratically. At one point, they say he exposed himself to investigators.
Fleischauer was charged Tuesday with First Degree Intentional Homicide and Possession of a Gun by a Felon. A judge set his bond at $500,000 cash. He was also ordered to stay away from guns, stay sober and have no contact with his daughter, Somer.
Fleischauer is due back in court for a bond hearing Friday.
