Eau Claire (WQOW) –
An Eau Claire dad is charged with four counts of child abandonment after the children’s mother said he left them alone in a parking lot.

If convicted, Jedadia Sullivan faces up to 40 years in prison.

According to court records, Sullivan dropped the kids off at the mother’s place of work and left them next to her car around 7:30 p.m. on January 28. She told police she was supposed to work until midnight. The kids, ages two to ten, were wearing coats but no hats or gloves. The temperature outside was 19 degrees.

The mother told police Sullivan is the father to three of the four children.

Messages show Sullivan texted the mother saying "there by ur car". Subsequent texts read: "better hurry up kids getting cold" and "I really hope u get them kids."

News 18 reported in 2012 that Sullivan was charged with child abuse after admitting to slapping his girlfriend’s 19-month-old daughter in the face five or six times. In that case, he pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 60 days in jail and three years of probation.
