Feed My People schedules Pop-Up Pantry just in time for Thanksgiving

Eau Claire (WQOW) – If you are in need of food for Thanksgiving, but do not have the means to purchase it yourself, Feed My People Food Bank is here to help.

The nonprofit will be hosting a Pop-Up Pantry at Banbury Place, Building 2 on Wednesday from 4-5 p.m.

Community members in need can pick up some fresh produce, assorted grocery items and non-food items.

“We are excited to once again offer this Pop-Up Pantry to those in need, especially right before Thanksgiving,” shared Tami Syverson, field services specialist with FMP, “For some families, Thanksgiving break means no school meals and no resources to provide a special dinner. That’s why we timed this distribution the day before Thanksgiving. ”

This is the second straight year Feed My People is offering this pantry on the day before Thanksgiving. Last year, 135 households were served. They hope to increase that number this year.

In addition to produce and groceries, non-food items like diapers, toothpaste and toilet paper will be available.

If you go, you are asked to bring a bag or box to carry items home in.

Look for the Feed My People truck and signs to find the exact location.

Weather Outlook: Gloomy weather returns

Today was the warmest day of the month with high temperatures in the low to mid 40s across western Wisconsin. The only other days this month in the 40s were this past Saturday and Sunday. While temperatures will be in the upper 30s near 40 again tomorrow afternoon, it won’t be as nice of a day.
