Meet our Pets of the Day: Reptiles!

(REPTILE EXPO)- This fat-tailed gecko is perfect for a started reptile pet. Geckos are insect eaters and have the ability to regrow their tail! They make excellent beginner reptiles, and there will be some leopard geckos (closely related to tat-tails) available at the Expo. The milksnake mimic the coral snakes in the southern US, and get their name from when farmers used to think they were stealing their cows’ milk (which isn’t true). They make great snakes for beginners! The boa constrictor snake is fully grown at around 7.5 feet, although females generally get larger than males (which is typical in the snake world). He weighs roughly 20 pounds and is 12 years old (they live to around 20-25).

If you would like to adopt one of these spectacular reptiles, you can find them at the Reptile Expo!

The Reptile Expo is a family-friendly event for animal lovers where experienced breeders have reptiles for sale along with all the supplies needed to properly take care of them. Stock up on reptile food, decor, treats, reptile-themed human gifts, and maybe even bring home a new scaly friend, all while supporting small local businesses! There will be a huge variety of reptiles and amphibians for sale including lizards, snakes, turtles, exotic insects, axolotls and other amphibians, and more!

This will be on Sunday, November 4th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be held at the Best Western Conference Center at 340 Mondovi Road. Admission will be $3 for adults and only $1 for children. All kids 3 and under will get in free.
